The company started in 1980, was originally known as AGOROFOMBA. The name change to the present, Obrumankoma,
Odapagyan and Oson Traditionals, is a way to maintain connection with its roots, and that, the group be identified with the
history and the rich cultural heritage of the Fantes who populate the Central region of Ghana. According to the
history of the Fantses of Mankessim "the Bobor fantsefo" originally were part of the Old Ghana Empire. (For more history of

in a number of Local, National and International Arts and Culture events in Ghana and abroad. For example, the company participated
in the maiden edition of both PANAFEST (THE Pan African Historical Theatre Festival and KIDDAFEST (An International Children's
Festival hosted by the national theatre of Ghana. The company has also represented the region in a number of cultural events.
It is also the satellite company of the Center for National Culture, Mfantseman district and has been a regular feature in
the induction programs of the AMERICAN PEACE CORPS PROGRAM IN GHANA
